Florida’s Assignment of Benefits Crisis Leads to NEW Rules for Roofers & Insurance Claims

In Florida, roofers and other repair professionals have been able to be signed on to essentially manage claims for the policyholder often times through what is known as assignment of benefits (AOB). The result? Inflated claims and heightened volumes of lawsuits that have driven up insurance companies’ legal costs thus increasing monthly premiums for homeowners.
